The Project

www.koplemo.com is an independent engineering project focused on developing lightweight and practical tools for geotechnical and civil engineering workflows.

The goal of the platform is simple: provide engineering utilities that are fast, accessible, and easy to use directly in the browser without unnecessary complexity, installations, or account creation.

Most tools were originally created to solve real engineering tasks encountered during professional design work, especially in the fields of:

• Geotechnical engineering
• Tunnel engineering
• Numerical modelling
• Ground improvement
• CAD/GIS/KMZ workflows
• ZSoil preprocessing and postprocessing

The platform combines engineering calculations, data conversion utilities, visualization tools, and productivity helpers intended for both quick preliminary checks and daily engineering work.

The project is continuously evolving, with new tools and improvements added over time based on real project experience and user feedback.

My name is Martin Hostnik, and I am a civil engineer specialized in geotechnical and hydraulic engineering.

I hold:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Geotechnics and Hydrotechnics

I have approximately 10 years of professional experience in advanced geotechnical design and numerical analysis on international infrastructure and tunnel projects.

My professional work mainly focuses on:

• Geotechnical numerical modelling
• Tunnel engineering
• Finite element analysis
• Soil-structure interaction
• Ground support and anchoring systems

Besides engineering, I also have a strong interest in software development, especially Python and Django-based engineering applications.

Koplemo was created as a combination of both fields: engineering and programming.
